Ironed In Black (Mac)
15.3 hh
black homozygous son of Natural Iron, & grandson of
Boston Mac, one of the most desirable crosses on
cutting bred mares, per article in AQHA’s American
Horse magazine . Mac produces healthy, sane , easy
going -good minded calm, all around foals that ride
like a dream, with pretty heads, big hips &a lot of
size. Some of Macs foals are 17.hh . And 3 are
performance foals that have excelled in western
pleasure and hunter under saddle.
Homozygous black means that Mac
cannot produce a sorrel or chestnut , no red fouls.
This means that his foals well have black mane,
tail and stockings, but the body color is affected
by the mares color genetics.
Example: if Mac is bred to a
bay, sorrel, or chestnut he well produce a black or
bay .
If Mac is bred to Palominos,
Perlinos, Creamelos, Buckskins ,he well produce
buckskins , bays, black or smoky blacks , to see
